Here is a run down of our week:
This past week has been very busy as we’ve gotten ready for the Holiday’s. Charlie and I finished all of the Christmas shopping early so we decided to do more fun Christmas activities like create a gingerbread house. It was a blast! I can’t wait until next year when Charlie can be a more active participant but he had fun sitting on my lap watching me work. Mark was a great sport about the whole thing and helped with the construction aspect of the house but left the decorating up to me.
Mark, Jay, my Dad and I went to watch Abilene High win the state championship and had a blast. I always love going to Abilene events because you never know who you’ll run into. It was a bit of a bittersweet trip for Jay and my dad because if we would not have moved Jay would have been playing on the team but he couldn’t be happier at Kinkaid so it all worked out for the best. Charlie spent some quality time with his Emma while we were at the game and all went well.
Jay is staying with us this week and I LOVE having him here. He is amazing with Charlie and it makes Mark happy to have someone to watch sports with. We just found out he is probably going to be a national merit scholar so I am extremely proud of him!
Last night we Mark and I exchanged gifts since we will be leaving in the morning to spend Christmas with both of our families. Charlie and I got Mark an XM radio, a north face jacket, a cabella’s gift card, shoes and some other small things for his stocking. Mark got me diamond earrings, a kindle, a facial, and some other little things for my stocking. He completely spoiled me this year but I guess I’m not shocked Mark loves to give gifts! He’s pretty amazing! After we opened the presents we had whole dungeness crabs on the grill and they were amazing. It was an amazing night.
Charlie turned 6 months old! I’m not sure how he got so big! He is the happiest baby and we are so lucky to have him! Life is wonderful!
Tomorrow we leave for Houston/Galveston for Christmas and it should be a exciting time!
